Scottish Comedian of the Year winner Bruce Fummey to try out his new show to Society members.

Bruce tells stories from Scotland's history live ... and with more jokes. He is just about ready to take his new show, "Made in Scotland", to Australia in the New Year. But it's still a Work in Progress. He needs an historically minded audience to bounce it off, and we're letting him have a Topic Night.

So pitch up to Luncarty Church Centre and pitch in to help a fellow historian out!

Open to a'body. Entry free.

The concert in Murthly Castle's magnificent chapel on Wednesday 10th July was a resounding success. For once, owing to the venue's wonderful acoustic, such a cliche is just . . . the best way of describing it.

PlaidSong's set of historic Scottish songs was thoughtful, well-researched, comprehensive, moving, funny, tuneful and oh so melodic. Both players were on top form. Some folk may have come for the venue (concerts are rarely held there) but readly confessed they would have stayed all night for the music.
